Teresa Stadlober is leading the Austrian Cross-Country skiers into the next season

With the grand total of 25 athletes, the Austrian Ski Federation has announced their Cross-Country set-up for the upcoming season. Teresa Stadlober, Beijing's Bronze medalist in Skiathlon, leads the team into the next season as the only athlete with national team status.

The Olympic medal dream that finally came true for the 29 year-old Austrian also marks a historic achievement for the Austrian Cross-Country team. Upon her return back home, Teresa was celebrated by a large crowd and was awarded the athlete of the year award recognizion of the region of Salzburg a few days later. Her success thoughout the past years has surely inspired and motivated young Austrian Cross-Country athletes. Chasing to follow Teresa's footsteps, the "B-Kader" and "C-Kader" are ready with a line-up of 23 athletes.

27 year-old Lisa Unterweger is one of the "A-Kader" athletes that brings along experience from the worlds largest sporting stage and focus' from the Sprint races. Mika Vermeulen has landed several top-30 results since his change of discipline (switching from Nordic Combined in 2020) and joins Lisa in the "A-Kader" team.
