The prestigious Holmenkoll medal is the highest sports award in Norway and can only be won once in the lifetime. It has been awarded since 1895 and recipients are individuals with outstanding national and international achievements in their generation.

Johannes Høsflot Klæbo received the award along with Biathletes Marte Olsbu Røiseland and Tiril Eckhoff as well as Nordic Combined athlete Jørgen Graabak.
