The International Ski and Snowboard Federation has named 40 year-old Simon Caprini (FRA) as its Cross-Country Assistant Race Director. He will begin his role this summer.

For 12 years, Caprini has been the Nordic Racing Manager for Rossignol and has built up a strong network in the industry, working closely with teams and athletes.

After so many great years with the Rossignol race family, it was time to move on. The position of Assistant Race Director allows me to use my knowledge to develop Cross-Country skiing with the FIS team. I am also glad that I will be able to continue working in the same environment with all friends I met along the way. Simon Caprini

FIS Cross-Country Race Director Michal Lamplot is convinced that Simon Caprini is a great addition to the team: “For us, Simon is a great fit for the role. He has not only extensive knowledge about the sport from different perspectives but also a large network with athletes, coaches and team staff. Simon will be a great help for us to continue developing Cross-Country Skiing”.
