FIS Para Committee Chairman Dexter Paine was honored for Winter4Kids contributions

On May 30th, current FIS Para Committee Chairman Dexter Paine was recognized at the New York Athletic Club for his role in the Winter4Kids programme. At the Harvard Club in Boston on May 31st, Winter4Kids is celebrating Paul Fremont Smith as a 2023 hero.

Over the past 8 years, Winter4Kids has served 14,901 children, and by 2027the goal is to serve more than 14,000 each year.

Paine has been a consistent force in the integration of elite athletes with expanded access to winter activities for over a few decades as former chairman of US Ski and Snowboard, Vice President of the International Federation of Skiing (FIS) as well as leadership roles on the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee.

Founded in 2014, Winter4Kids on the campus National Winter Activity Center embraced the dream that every kid should benefit from the rich experience of the outdoors. Now we begin our next phase, building on the 14,901 over the last 8 years and growing to serve over 14,000 annually. Winter4Kids, located on the campus of the National Winter Activity Center:
