Green light for the World Cup events in Val di Fiemme (ITA)

Snow Controller Sandro Pertile has confirmed the upcoming Viessmann FIS Nordic Combined and Ski Jumping events in Val di Fiemme (ITA). The joint World Cup weekend is to take place from the 9th - 12th of January, 2020.

While all preparations for the cross-country tracks are well on the way and the facilities will be used for the Coop FIS Tour de Ski in Cross-Country Skiing on the upcoming weekend, technical reasons made it necessary to change the ski jumping competitions from the large to the normal hill.

For the normal hill, preparations are running according to schedule as well and even include a helicopter to transport the necessary snow to the jumping hill.

For Nordic Combined, two Individual Gundersen events and one Team Sprint are on schedule in Italy, while Ski Jumping will hold two individual events.
