YOG Lausanne 2020: Nordic Combined events and coverage

The Lausanne 2020 Nordic Combined events will take place in Les Tuffes (France) from the 18th to the 22nd of January 2020.

COMPETITIONS & FORMATS

On schedule are one Individual Gundersen event for men and women each. The event marks the Olympic debut of Women's Nordic Combined.

Nordic Combined athletes also participate in the Ski Jumping and Nordic Mixed Team events.
The Ski Jumping Mixed Team Event takes place on the normal hill and two scored rounds. Teams are composed of one male ski jumper, one female ski jumper and one male and one female Nordic Combined athlete. After the first round, only the top eight teams will continue to the final round. During the final round, the last group will start in reverse order of the team's rank after the second group.

In the Nordic Mixed Team Event, Ski Jumpers, Nordic Combined athletes and Cross-Country skiers compete together. Teams are made up on six athletes from the same nation; one male and one female Cross-Country skier, one male and one female Ski Jumper, and one male and one female Nordic Combined athlete. The event consists of one scored ski jump on the normal hill (NH) for four team members (female ski jumper, female Nordic Combined athlete, male Nordic Combined athlete, male ski jumper), and a 4 x 3.3km Cross-Country Relay free technique race for four team members (female Cross-Country skier, female Nordic Combined athlete, male Cross- Country skier male Nordic Combined athlete).
