Fourth race, fourth victory for Westvold Hansen

Women’s Summer Grand Prix overall leader Gyda Westvold Hansen is also the winner of the first competition in Villach/Austria. The Norwegian was already in the lead after Ski Jumping and brought home the fourth victory in the fourth Grand Prix competition.

24 athletes in summerly conditions into the Ski Jumping round of todays Individual Gundersen.
The spectators witnessed another strong performance by Gyda Westvold Hansen, who jumped to 93 meters at the HS98 and took the lead with 108.7 points.

The Norwegian in the yellow BIB was therefore the first one to go into the roller ski race this evening. 
The second rank after Ski Jumping was taken by Annalena Slamik, PCR winner of Oberwiesenthal, with the longest jump of the day to 94 meters. 
The Austrian, who’s the current owner of the blue BIB as Best Jumper, reached a total of 107.9 points and started into the roller race only 3 seconds behind Hansen. 
Soon the Norwegian separated herself from her pursuers and was already 48 seconds in the lead after 2.5 km. In the last lap Hansen was able to further expand her lead and reached the finish line 1:13 minutes ahead of the Austrian.

Lisa Hirner (+1:24 min), also from Austria, placed 3rd after Ski Jumping with 87.5 meters (93.1 pts) and started with a 1:02 minute backlog. She teamed up with the team mate Sigrun Kleinrath (+1:28 min) during the race, who she beat on the last meters and secured her third rank.

Summer Grand Prixs Best Skier, Marie Nähring (81.5 mts, 81.6 pts) from Germany, placed 9th and went into the race 1:48 minutes after Hansen. 
She reached the finish line after 5 km again with the fasted skiing time, 1:34 min after the winner from Norway.
