Mari Leinan Lund was in the lead after the women’s Ski Jumping competition on the Schattenbergschanze HS106.

In bright sunshine the Norwegian jumped the furthest distance of the day with 102.5 meters (140.5 pts) and took the lead. Therefore, she was the first one to start into the 5 km at the Ried stadium this afternoon.

Rank 2 after jumping went to her team mate and Overall World Cup leader Gyda Westvold Hansen, who reached 101.5 meters and collected 134.9 points. She started the race 22 seconds after Leinan Lund.

Current Best Skier Ida Marie Hagen (100 mts, 126.4 pts) placed third 56 seconds behind her Norwegian team mate.

Leinan Lund ran a lonely race at the front as Hansen was unable to catch her teammate.

After 2.5km the yellow bib owner was already 25.2 seconds behind. Meanwhile, Best Skier Hagen rushed up from behind, confident as usual.

In the final lap she caught up with Hansen and passed her, but in the end she didn't manage to catch up with Lund.

Mari Leinen Lund took the first World Cup victory of her career, ahead of Hagen (+13.5 sec) and Hansen (+1:06.1 min), who still defended her lead in the overall World Cup ranking.

With her victory, Lund takes the lead in the WIRmachenDRUCK German Trophy
