A total of 12 ski jumpers will represent Austria in the upcoming FIS Grand Prix in front of their home crowd in Hinzenbach. Next to the athletes of the team of head coach Andreas Felder, a national group will also get the chance to participate in this home event.

Andreas Felder named Stefan Kraft, Gregor Schlierenzauer, Michael Hayboeck, Manuel Fettner, Philipp Aschenwald, Clemens Aigner and Jan Hoerl to his team for Hinzenbach. Last year's winner of the competition there, Daniel Huber, will not be able to take part due to knee problems. His plan is to compete again in the Austrian nationals late October.
The national group will consist of Markus Schiffner, David Haagen, Thomas Lackner, Mika Schwann, and Janni Reisenauer.

All of the Austrian athletes are eager to compete in Hinzenbach, but Michael Hayboeck is especially looking forward to this event since it is held on his home hill. "The home competition in Hinzenbach is always a big highlight in summer. Everyone knows that the people in Upper Austria are enthusiastic about Ski Jumping and that's always obvious at the hill. The atmosphere is special every year. I'm looking forward to this competition and I'll do my best."

For athletic director Mario Stecher the main goal is that the top jumpers present themselves in strong shape in front of the home crowd, but the sights are already set towards the winter season as well: "The entire team is looking forward to jumping at home. For the first time this summer we compete with our strongest team. Slowly but surely it also about earning the spots on the team for the winter and so everyone has to give his all. The Grand Prix in Hinzenbach is always very well organized. It will be a highlight for the fans with performances on a top level."
