The start of the Aerials competitions at the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games has been delayed following challenging weather conditions in Livigno.
Heavy overnight snowfall and continued snow accumulation throughout the morning caused prolonged interruptions to the competition schedule, ultimately leaving insufficient time to complete the planned qualification rounds. After careful assessment of the situation and extended delays, the jury made the decision to postpone both the women’s and men’s Aerials qualifications.
Event officials continue to prioritize athlete safety and the delivery of fair and consistent competition conditions, with the postponement ensuring that the Aerials events can resume under optimal circumstances.
The updated program for the individual Aerials competitions is as follows:
Wednesday, 18 February
10:00 – Women’s Qualification 1
10:45 – Women’s Qualification 2
13:00 – Women’s Finals
Thursday, 19 February
11:00 – Men’s Qualification 1
11:45 – Men’s Qualification 2
14:00 – Men’s Finals
No further schedule changes have been confirmed at this time. Competition officials will continue to monitor weather conditions in Livigno closely and will provide updates should additional adjustments become necessary.
