FIS Mogul Course Design and Build Clinic set for Hintertux Glacier in October
Aug 21, 2025·FreestyleFrom October 4–10, 2025, a FIS Mogul Course Design and Build Clinic will take place on the Hintertux Glacier, bringing together course builders, competition organizers, and snowcat operators for a week of focused training and knowledge exchange.
The clinic will be led by two of the sport’s most experienced figures. Chris “Seedog” Seemann (USA), a FIS Technical Advisor with more than 22 years of experience, has built numerous World Cup courses across North America, including Deer Valley in Utah and Waterville Valley in New Hampshire—both repeatedly recognized among the top venues on the tour. Joining him is Ales Span (Slovenia), a FIS Technical Delegate who has designed and built courses for the World Cup, World Championships, Europa Cup, and a wide range of FIS events.
Throughout the week, participants will move between classroom sessions, on-hill instruction, and hands-on practice with experienced piston operators. The program will cover all aspects of mogul course design and maintenance: from venue layout, course safety, and construction planning to mogul separation, jump building, snowcat coordination, traffic flow, and competitor protection. The focus is on sharing international best practices while equipping attendees with practical tools to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality training and competition venues.
Further details about the course content, daily program, and objectives are available in the PDF document attached to this announcement.
Those wishing to attend must confirm their participation by September 18, 2025.
