While we’re still reliving the unforgettable moments of last season, the freestyle skiing world is already looking ahead. Following the FIS Council’s approval of the 2025/26 calendars, we’re thrilled to share what’s coming up—and it’s going to be big. With the Olympic Winter Games Milano-Cortina 2026 on the horizon, the upcoming season promises high-stakes battles, returning favorites, and brand-new destinations. In total, the World Cup tour will span 11 venues in nine countries across three continents, blending legacy stops with exciting new arrivals.

The season kicks off where it so often does—in the classic venue of Ruka, Finland. This year, aerials are back in Ruka after a one-year break, with the individual competition opening on December 6, followed by the moguls opener on December 7. From there, the tour heads to Idre Fjäll, Sweden, where moguls and dual moguls will take place across the weekend of December 13-14. The energy continues to build as we reach the final events before the holidays. Bakuriani, Georgia, carries on its 2023 World Championships momentum by hosting moguls and dual moguls again on December 20-21, while on the same weekend, aerials return to Secret Garden, China—the venue from the 2022 Olympic Winter Games—for both individual and team events. It’s a thrilling start to the season with action-packed stops right out of the gate.

There’s barely time to catch a breath over the holidays, with the North American leg beginning earlier than usual. Things get going in Lac-Beauport, the heart of Canadian aerials, with back-to-back individual competitions on January 6-7. Just days later, the moguls tour continues in Val St. Come, where a strong Canadian crowd will cheer on two days of intense competition on January 9-10. The aerials athletes then cross into the USA for another double in Lake Placid, featuring both individual and team events on January 11-12. After that, all eyes turn to Deer Valley, where the legendary night events return on January 16-18, showcasing moguls, dual moguls, and aerials in what will be the final World Cup competition for aerials this season—right before the big show in Italy.

The Olympic Winter Games Milano-Cortina 2026 will be the centerpiece of the season. After a successful test event held during the World Cup Finals last season, the anticipation for the Games has never been higher. The freestyle program kicks off with moguls qualifications on February 10, followed by the women’s finals on February 11 and the men’s on February 12. For the first time ever, dual moguls will appear on the Olympic stage, with the women’s final on February 14 and the men’s on February 15. The aerials program begins with qualifications on February 17, followed by the women’s final on February 18, the men’s on February 19, and wraps with the exciting mixed team event on February 21. It will be a defining moment for the sport, athletes, and fans worldwide.

After the Games, the moguls tour enters its final stretch with a return to Asia and a few major surprises. For the first time since 2020, Japan rejoins the World Cup circuit, with the tour heading to Nanto, located in the Toyama prefecture. The Taira Ski Resort will make its World Cup debut after hosting Asian Cups, with competitions scheduled for February 28–March 1. From there, the tour continues to Almaty, Kazakhstan, where the Shymbulak Ski Resort and its well-established Yuka G course will once again host some of the sport’s top mogul skiers on March 7-8, continuing its strong presence on the World Cup calendar.

The season wraps up in a spectacular way, with the first-ever World Cup competition in Azerbaijan at Shahdag Mountain Resort, the country’s largest ski resort. With Azerbaijan now serving as FIS’ Global Destination Partner and title sponsor of the FIS Freestyle World Cup, this will be a landmark moment for the sport and a bold new chapter for the tour.

With the Olympic Games at the heart of the season, a lineup of iconic and new venues, and the sport continuing to grow globally, the 2025/26 FIS Freestyle Moguls & Aerials World Cup is set to be one for the books. We can’t wait to share it all with you.
