Val St. Come could be a sign of things to come in Women’s Dual Moguls at the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.
In the only Dual Moguls World Cup competition so far this season, the USA swept the top four positions through Jaelin Kauf, Elizabeth Lemley, Tess Johnson and Olivia Giaccio respectively.
Lemley’s runner-up finish last month marked her return to the World Cup podium for the first time since 2024 after recovering from an ACL injury. On 11 February, she celebrated the biggest title of her career, winning Women’s Moguls Olympic gold at Livigno Aerials & Moguls Park and leading a USA one-two as Kauf took silver.
Kauf is looking forward to the USA also dominating in Dual Moguls, which is making its Olympic debut.
“It's been a long time coming for this team to stand on top of the podium at the Olympic Games, since Hannah Kearney (USA, 2010 gold, 2014 bronze) retired,” she said after the Moguls final. “So it's really cool to finally get that and to have one and two on there. Hopefully we see it again in duals.”
She is familiar with podiums at Livigno, coming in second behind Charlotte Wilson (AUS) in Dual Moguls at the Carosello 3000 venue en route to becoming the event’s 2024/25 Crystal Globe winner.
Like Wilson, Perrine Laffont (FRA) will be looking to prevent a USA sweep, as she did on 11 February, when she took Moguls bronze. The 27-year-old was third in that Olympic test event in March 2025 before finishing second in the Dual Moguls World Cup standings last season.
Two-time Dual Moguls Crystal Globe winner Jakara Anthony (AUS) will have a chance to make up for her disappointment of finishing eighth in Moguls on 11 February.
“What I’m really excited for about Milano Cortina is that we’ve got two cracks at a gold medal this time,” she told Olympics.com.
Giaccio, who just missed out on the Moguls super final, is also looking to make the most out of this new opportunity.
The 1/16 finals start at 10:30 CET tomorrow, with the finals beginning at 11:46.
