With just three days to go until the Closing Ceremony, 49 of the 57 podiums have already been decided, but the Games are far from slowing down. In fact, some of the most explosive action is only just beginning. Livigno takes centre stage with a blockbuster triple-header of freestyle finals, as three gold medals are awarded in Ski Cross, Aerials and Halfpipe in what promises to be one of the most dynamic single-venue days of Milano Cortina 2026.

Women’s Ski Cross opens the charge, with Italy’s Jole Galli carrying home hopes into a fiercely competitive field led by defending champion Sandra Naeslund (SWE) and a lineup packed with Olympic pedigree. The Men’s Aerials final follows, where precision and high-risk difficulty including five-twist combinations will determine whether defending champion Qi Guangpu (CHN) can rise again.

The day builds to a prime-time crescendo under the lights with the Men’s Freeski Halfpipe final, as world champion Finley Melville Ives (NZL) takes on a powerful American squad in a discipline defined by amplitude and progression.

Freestyle Skiing Men's Aerials

Defending Olympic champion Qi Guangpu (CHN) returns for his fifth Games aiming to reclaim Aerials gold, peaking at the right time after rediscovering podium form this season. The 35-year-old headlines a powerful Chinese trio alongside Crystal Globe winner Sun Jiaxu and Li Tianma, who filled the top three in the World Cup standings.

But the battle for glory will hinge on progression, with multiple contenders including Ukraine’s Dmytro Kotovskyi and Switzerland’s Noe Roth who is capable of landing the high-risk five-twist jump. With qualification set to trim the 25-man field to 12 finalists, Livigno is primed for a technical showdown at the very highest level.
