Training the Female Athlete

The FIS “Training the Female Athlete” webinar series provides science-based insights into female-specific challenges affecting health, training, and performance. Open to coaches, athletes, and support staff worldwide, the free online sessions aim to close existing knowledge gaps and encourage open discussion on often stigmatized topics.

Following the successful 2025 edition, the series will continue in 2026, expanding its focus and offering new sessions and expert speakers.

Please note that the meeting will be recorded, and the recording will be shared with all registered participants afterwards.

Join our upcoming FIS Ski Jumping Coach Webinar on March 24, 2026 at 3 PM (CET), focusing on the role of aerodynamics for younger athletes. In this session, Ola Elfmark, Postdoctoral Fellow at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, will explain how aerodynamic principles influence the development of young ski jumpers and how coaches can integrate this knowledge into their training.

The 60-minute presentation followed by a Q&A session is aimed at coaches in ski jumping and Nordic combined, youth and grassroots coaches, as well as anyone interested in the development of young athletes in the sport.

FIS Sustainability Webinar Series 2025

Following the success of its first series, FIS held a free educational webinar series on sustainability in the first half of 2025. Open to all stakeholders—including National Ski Associations, Local Organizing Committees, ski clubs, FIS staff, and athletes—the sessions highlighted real-world case studies and best practices from across the FIS ecosystem.

The webinars focused on practical implementation, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing, providing participants with actionable insights to support FIS’s sustainability goals.
