Having sought clarification regarding the decision announced on 2 December, today FIS received an amended decision from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) about the implementation of the Individual Neutral Athlete (AIN) program at FIS events.

The CAS amended decision specifies that:

  • FIS is ordered to allow the participation of athletes and support personnel of Russian sporting nationality who are in compliance with the eligibility criteria for AIN in all FIS events, and not only in qualification events for the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games.

  • FIS is ordered to allow the participation of Russian para-athletes in all FIS events “under the same conditions as those recommended by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), i.e. without the AIN framework being applied.”

FIS acknowledges the amended decision issued by CAS and remains committed to taking the necessary operational steps to implement it.
