FIS President Johan Eliasch and FIS Secretary General Michel Vion attended the International Federations (IF) consultation meetings in Lausanne this week, following the invitation of IOC President Kirsty Coventry as part of the IOC’s “Fit for the Future” campaign.
The gathering brought together leaders from all Olympic Winter and Summer Federations with the shared goal of laying the foundation for a successful and sustainable future of the Olympic Movement. The consultations are part of an ongoing partnership and dialogue between the International Federations (IFs) and the International Olympic Committee (IOC), emphasizing collaboration, innovation, and shared responsibility for the future of sport.
I commend IOC President Kirsty Coventry for this important initiative. Now is the moment for all of us to stand together – to empower our athletes, to elevate our Games, and to secure a bright and sustainable future for the Olympic Movement. Sport unites the world through courage, excellence, and the Olympic spirit, and FIS is proud to contribute to this shared mission.– Johan Eliasch, FIS President
