FIS President Johan Eliasch appointed to two key IOC Groups
Sep 22, 2025·Inside FISFIS President Johan Eliasch has been appointed to two important roles within the International Olympic Committee (IOC), reflecting his continued commitment to advancing the future of the Olympic Movement.
IOC President Kirsty Coventry has announced one of her first major initiatives: the creation of four new working groups as part of the IOC’s Fit For the Future process. Eliasch will serve on the Commercial Partnerships and Marketing Working Group, which will review the IOC’s existing programs, platforms, and systems; evaluate how it engages with partners; and explore opportunities to evolve and remain competitive in today’s dynamic market.
In addition, Eliasch has been named a member of the IOC Coordination Commission for the French Alps 2030 Olympic Winter Games. In this role, he will work alongside Chair Pierre-Olivier Beckers-Vieujant and other members of the Commission to help deliver the next edition of the Olympic Winter Games following Milano Cortina 2026.
