Another setback for Daniel Andre Tande: After the Norwegian has been struggling with health problems last year, he now has to end this season early due to a knee injury.

Daniel Andre Tande crashed at the World Cup in Lahti (FIN) and sustained a knee injury. Now it was announced that the 25-year-old will not only miss the upcoming World Championships in Seefeld (AUT), but that he will not be able to jump again this winter at all.

"It is sad that Daniel can't take part in the WSC. I'm sure that he would have shown good performances there. He was advised to not jump for six weeks, we have to deal with that now", said head coach Alexander Stoeckl.

The Ski Flying World Champion himself is already thinking about the time after the required break: "It's sad to miss the WSC, but the knee is what it is. I have to accept that I'll be sitting in front of the TV when the guys are fighting for medals in Seefeld. I will not be able to jump again this season, but I will come back stronger and better than ever."

The Norwegian team for the World Championships will be announced on Monday.
