● Bad Gastein will host the sixth stage of the Visa FIS Snowboard Alpine World Cup. Bad Gastein made its FIS Snowboard Alpine World Cup debut in 2001 and has hosted every year since making the 2026 edition the 26th annual Bad Gastein World Cup event.

● Benjamin Karl (AUT) won the men’s Parallel Slalom in Bad Gastein in 2011, ahead of Aaron March (ITA) and Simon Schoch (SUI). Both Karl and March are still active 15 years later, and both of them are in the top five of the Parallel standings this season. Schoch retired after the 2013/14 season.

● Ekaterina Tudegesheva (RUS) won her first ever World Cup race in Bad Gastein in 2006, and won her last ever World Cup race ten years later in Bad Gastein in 2016.

● Last year's Men's Parallel Slalom Word Cup race in Bad Gastein was won by Aaron March (ITA), ahead of Andreas Prommegger (AUT) and Cody Winters (USA). This marked the first ever World Cup podium for Winters. He later came in third at a Snowboard Cross race in Cortina d’Ampezzo later in the season. March also won the Bad Gastein Parallel Slalom in 2021. He will be going for win number three at the historic Austrian venue.

● Last year’s Women’s Parallel Slalom World Cup race in Bad Gastein was won by Ramona Theresia Hofmeister (GER), ahead of Tsubaki Miki (JPN) and Elisa Caffont (ITA). This was the fourth World Cup win for Hofmeister in Bad Gastein, she also won the 2018, 2020 and 2024.

● 45-years-old Roland Fischnaller (ITA) won the Men’s Parallel Giant Slalom in Scuol last weekend, ahead of Mirko Felicetti (ITA) and Tim Mastnak (SLO). This was the 25th World Cup win for Fischnaller. It was his first podium in Scuol. This was also the first World Cup podium for Mastnak since December 2024. The youngest competitor who reached the Semifinals in Scuol was Felicetti, at age 33.

● Italy has placed at least two athletes on the podium in each of the six men’s Parallel races this season. They also had a podium clean sweep in Carezza.

● Ramona Theresia Hofmeister (GER) won the Women’s Parallel Giant Slalom in Scuol last weekend, ahead of Elisa Caffont (ITA) and Melanie Hochreiter (GER). This was the 31st World Cup win for Hofmeister, who was back in Scuol after she missed the previous races of the season because of an injury during the offseason. This was the second World Cup podium ever for Hochreiter, four years after her first podium in Simonhöhe during the 2021/22 season, where she finished third. The current World Cup leader Sabine Payer (AUT) settled for fourth place after an injury caused her to pull off the course in the small final.

● Aaron March (ITA) is currently leading the Men’s Parallel standings, 65 points ahead of his countryman Mirko Felicetti (ITA). There are currently four Italian athletes in the top four positions, followed by three Austrian athletes. There are currently no non-European male athletes in the top 10. The top non-European athlete is Sangho Lee (KOR) in 17th position.

● Sabine Payer (AUT) is leading the overall Women’s Parallel standing, just five points ahead of Elisa Caffont (ITA). Last season Women’s Parallel champion Tsubaki Miki (JPN) is currently in third position. 16 years old Malena Zamfirova (BUL) is currently 7th and is seeking her first career World Cup win.

● Maurizio Bormolini (ITA) won the 2024-25 Men’s overall Parallel title ahead of Andreas Prommegger (AUT) and Daniele Bagozza (ITA). Only Italy and Austria were represented in the top 5 of the final 2024-25 Parallel standings. Gabriel Messner (ITA) finished fourth, and Benjamin Karl (AUT) came fifth.

● Tsubaki Miki (JPN) won the 2024-25 Women’s Parallel title ahead of Ramona Theresia Hofmeister (GER) and Sabine Payer (AUT). This was Miki’s first Parallel title after she finished second the previous season. The same three athletes were in the first three positions of the 2023-24 season Parallel standings, with Hofmeister first, Miki second and Payer third.

● The current Olympic champion Benjamin Karl (AUT) is the athlete with the most Men’s Parallel titles, with four: 2007-08, 2009-10, 2010-11 and 2023-24.

● Andreas Prommegger (AUT) won the Men’s Parallel title three times, and could tie his countryman Benjamin Karl (AUT) at four titles should he win the title this season. Prommegger has the most career top 3 finishes in the overall Men’s Parallel standings, he finished second five times and third twice. He is currently 12th in the Parallel standings.

● The last time there were no Italians or Austrian athletes in the top three of the Men’s Parallel standing was the 2005-06 season, when Switzerland placed three athletes in the top three.

● By winning the 2024-25 Parallel title, Tsubaki Miki (JPN) became the first non-European female athlete to win the Women’s Parallel title.

● Ramona Theresia Hofmeister (GER) and Ester Ledecka (CZE) have won four Women’s Parallel titles each, no other female athlete has ever won more than three Parallel titles. Ledecka is the only athlete, in both genders, to have won four consecutive Parallel titles, between 2015-16 and 2018-19. Ledecka is not competing in the World Cup this season as she is focusing on Alpine Skiing.
