Dongbeiya Snowboard Cross World Cup – Women
Dongbeiya (CHN) will host a Snowboard Cross World Cup event for the first time.
There have been three World Cup Snowboard Cross events on Chinese snow: in Secret Garden (CHN) in 2021/22 and two in Beidahu (CHN) last season. Charlotte Bankes (GBR) won twice in Beidahu, Eva Adamczykova (CZE) triumphed in Secret Garden.
Lea Casta (FRA) won the first Snowboard Cross event of the season in Cervinia (ITA). Michela Moioli (ITA) and Josie Baff (AUS) finished second and third respectively.
Lea Casta (FRA) can become the first female rider to win the first two Snowboard Cross events of a World Cup season since Dominique Maltais (FRA) in 2012/13.
Lea Casta (FRA) has won the last four Snowboard Cross World Cup events. The last rider with a longer winning run was Charlotte Bankes (GBR), who won six successive events in 2022/23.
Charlotte Bankes (GBR) co-holds the record for most Snowboard Cross World Cup event wins on 25, alongside Lindsey Jacobellis (USA). Bankes started the season with a ninth place in Cervinia (ITA).
Charlotte Bankes (GBR) has reached a Snowboard Cross World Cup podium 35 times, one behind Dominique Maltais (FRA), who is fourth on the all-time list with 36 podiums.
Eva Adamczykova (CZE) and Michela Moioli (ITA) are joint-third all-time on 19 Snowboard Cross World Cup wins. In each of the last four World Cup events Adamcyzkova participated in, she has won the small final, including in Cervinia (ITA) in December.
Josie Baff (AUS) finished inside the top 10 in the last 32 Snowboard Cross World Cup events she started in. She finished third in Cervinia (ITA) last month.
Sina Siegenthaler (SUI) started her season with a fourth place in Cervinia (ITA). She has now reached the big final in each of the last three World Cup Snowboard Cross events. Siegenthaler can become the third Swiss snowboarder on multiple event wins, after Sandra Frei (SUI) and Olivia Nobs (SUI).
Pia Zerkhold (AUT) can become the first Austrian woman to win a Snowboard Cross World Cup event since Doresia Krings (AUT) in 2004/05.
Dongbeiya Snowboard Cross World Cup – Men
There have been three World Cup Snowboard Cross events on Chinese snow: in Secret Garden (CHN) in 2021/22 and two in Beidahu (CHN) last season. Eliot Grondin (CAN) won twice in Beidahu, Alessandro Haemmerle (AUT) triumphed in Secret Garden.
Brothers Jonas Chollet (FRA) and Aidan Chollet (FRA) topped the podium in the season opening Snowboard Cross event in Cervinia (ITA) in December. For Jonas Chollet, it only marked his fourth career Snowboard Cross World Cup event.
Jonas Chollet (FRA) can become the first rider to win the first two Snowboard Cross World Cup events of the season since Alessandro Haemmerle (AUT) started the 2021/22 season with two victories.
Jonas Chollet (FRA) can become the first male snowboarder to win his second Snowboard Cross World Cup event directly after recording his maiden win since Markus Chairer (AUT) in 2008/09.
Alessandro Haemmerle (AUT) is second in all-time Snowboard Cross World Cup event wins with 18, behind Pierre Vaultier (FRA, 22 wins). Eliot Grondin (CAN) is joint third with 13, alongside Jasey Jay Anderson (CAN).

Adam Lambert (AUS) started the season with third place in Cervinia (ITA). He has recorded six World Cup podium finishes in his career, but has yet to win an event. He is the rider with the most podium finishes in Snowboard Cross events without claiming a win alongside Alex Deibold (USA) and David Speiser (GER).
Leon Ulbricht (GER, 2) can join Martin Noerl (GER, 7) as the only German rider with at least three Snowboard Cross World Cup event wins.
The last Snowboard Cross World Cup victory by an USA rider dates back almost seven years, to February 2019, when Mick Dierdorff (USA) triumphed in Solitude (USA). There have been 59 World Cup events since.
