2025/26 FIS Snowboard Cross World Cup – Women – Erzurum Stat Sheet
● This marks the third time a Snowboard Cross World Cup will be staged in Erzurum (TUR), after 2017/18 and 2024/25. Last season, Charlotte Bankes (GBR) won on the Turkish snow ahead of Lea Casta (FRA) in second and Josie Baff (AUS) in third.
● The first three events of the 2025/26 World Cup season were won by three different riders: Lea Casta (FRA), Charlotte Bankes (GBR) and Julia Nirani-Pereira (FRA). The last time a World Cup season started with four different winners in the first four events was 20 years ago in 2005/06, when Lindsey Jacobellis (USA), Deborah Anthonioz (FRA), Marie Laissus (FRA) and Dominique Maltais (CAN) each claimed victory in the first four events.
● Josie Baff (AUS) won the women’s Snowboard Cross event at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, earning Australia its first gold medal in a Snowboard Cross event.
● Josie Baff (AUS) finished inside the top 10 in the last 34 Snowboard Cross World Cup events she started in. She finished third, second and fifth in the three events this season.
● Charlotte Bankes (GBR) won the Mixed team event at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games alongside Huw Nightingale (GBR). She finished 13th in the individual event. Bankes leads the Snowboard Cross standings, four points ahead of Josie Baff (AUS).
● Charlotte Bankes (GBR) recorded her 26th individual World Cup event win in Dongbeiya (CHN) and moved ahead of Lindsey Jacobellis (USA, 25) on top of the all-time list.
● With her first and third places in Dongbeiya (CHN), Charlotte Bankes (GBR, 37) moved into fourth place in all-time individual World Cup event podium finishes among women. Lindsey Jacobellis (USA, 50), Michela Moioli (ITA, 45) and Chloe Trespeuch (FRA, 44) make up the top three.
● Lea Casta (FRA) had won four Snowboard Cross events in a row, but finished 13th and 11th in the two events in Dongbeiya (CHN), her worst results in World Cup events since a 21st place in Veysonnaz (SUI) in March 2023.
● Julia Nirani-Pereira (FRA) claimed her second career World Cup event victory in Dongbeiya (CHN). She has recorded four podium finishes in World Cup events in her last eight World Cup starts, as many as in the 51 starts prior to this run.
● Chloe Trespeuch (FRA) recorded her 43rd and 44th World Cup podium finishes in Dongbeiya (CHN) in January. She is one away from equalling Michela Moioli (ITA, 45) in second place on the all-time standings. Lindsey Jacobellis (USA, 50) tops the list.

● This marks the third time a Snowboard Cross World Cup will be staged in Erzurum (TUR), after 2017/18 and 2024/25. Last season, Leon Ulbricht (GER) triumphed on the Turkish snow ahead of Eliot Grondin (CAN) and Nick Baumgartner (USA) in second and third respectively.
● Alessandro Haemmerle (AUT) successfully defended his Olympic title at the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games, as did Seth Wescott (USA) and Pierre Vaultier (FRA) before him.
● The Olympic Snowboard Cross champion has never won the first World Cup event directly after the Olympic Winter Games.
● Alessandro Haemmerle (AUT, 34) tied Pierre Vaultier (FRA, 34) on the most podium finishes in World Cup Snowboard Cross events after finishing second at the last World Cup in Dongbeiya (CHN) in January.
● Alessandro Haemmerle (AUT) is second in all-time Snowboard Cross World Cup event wins with 18, behind Pierre Vaultier (FRA, 22 wins). Eliot Grondin (CAN) is joint third with 13, alongside Jasey Jay Anderson (CAN).
● Alessandro Haemmerle (AUT) finished third in Erzurum (TUR) in 2017/18, when a Snowboard Cross World Cup event was held there for the first time. Last season, he did not start the second run. Haemmerle has already recorded World Cup event wins in eight different countries, Türkiye could become number nine. Only Pierre Vaultier (FRA, 10) has recorded World Cup event wins in more different countries.
● Adam Lambert (AUS) leads the Crystal Globe standings and is the only snowboarder who reached the podium in all three World Cup events this season, also recording his first career victory in Dongbeiya (CHN) during the most recent event.
● Adam Lambert (AUS) can become the first rider to win his second World Cup event directly after claiming his first career victory since Markus Schairer (AUT) did this in 2008/09.
● Adam Lambert (AUS) can become the first Australian rider to record back-to-back World Cup victories since Alex Pullin (AUS) achieved this in Cerro Catedral (ARG) in September 2017.
● Jakub Dusek (AUT) has reached the big final in only four of his last 15 World Cup event starts, but he won all four of those finals, including in Dongbeiya (CHN) earlier this season.
● Leon Ulbricht (GER) won the World Cup event in Erzurum (TUR) last season, but has failed to reach a big final since then. Ulbricht (GER, 2) can join Martin Noerl (GER, 7) as the only German rider with at least three Snowboard Cross World Cup event wins.
● Huw Nightingale (GBR) won the Mixed team event at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games alongside Charlotte Bankes (GBR). Nightingale’s best result in an individual World Cup event is an 11th place in Mt. St. Anne (CAN) in 2024/25.
● The last Snowboard Cross World Cup victory by an USA rider dates back almost seven years, to February 2019, when Mick Dierdorff (USA) triumphed in Solitude (USA). There have been 61 World Cup events since.
