Derungs and Thoenen Swiss slopestyle champions

In today's slopestyle event, Isabel Derungs and Moritz Thoenen took the top spots of both, the EC and national's podium.

In the women's event, the 30-year-old scored a 93.4 right in her first run and secured the Swiss title ahead of Elena Koenz and Ariana Burri.

In the men's final, Thoenen came out victorious of a close battle with Nicolas Huber. The 21-year-old was awarded with a 90.2 while Huber, no less than the 2017 FIS Snowboard World Championships silver medallist, got a 89.4.

Rank three went to Jonas Boesiger who also scored high with a 88.8.

The big air event is scheduled for 21 April with the qualifiers slated to go down on 20 April.
