The 2026/27 FIS Park & Pipe World Cup season is set to begin with a bang this November, as today it was announced that the AIRDRENALINE Innsbruck Big Air World Cup will be taking over the legendary Bergisel venue from 26-28 November, 2026, for a massive weekend of Freeskiing, Snowboarding, music, and culture.
Around 160 international athletes are expected at AIRDRENALINE as the opening competition of the 2026/27 FIS Park & Pipe World Cup season. After qualifications for both Freeski and Snowboard take place on 26 November, the first day of finals festivities on Friday, 27 November, will see Freeski competitors hitting the Bergisel for the first time in the long history of Big Air at the venue.
Day two of the AIRDRENALINE weekend, 28 November, will be all about the Snowboard elite, as the world’s finest Big Air riders return to the Bergisel venue where some of the greatest Big Air competitions in the history of Snowboarding took place, beginning with the first Air & Style competitions in 1994.
The Big Air competition programme at AIRDRENALINE will be complemented by a top-tier musical line-up, featuring some heavy-hitters from the German-langauge hip-hop scene.
On Friday, 27 November, K.I.Z will feature as the headliner, while SSIO is slated to provide the vibe to start AIRDRENALINE on a high earlier in the afternoon. With several number 1 albums, including the 2024 album "Görlitzer Park", K.I.Z is one of the most successful and formative voices in the German rap landscape.
On Saturday, 28 November, it will be Bonez MC & RAF Camora headlining the AIRDRENALINE stage, with the two titans of German-langauge rap sharing the spotlight together. The duo has shaped the German-speaking hip-hop scene with the "Palms from Plastic" series and set multiple streaming records. Bonez MC is also a record holder in the official German hip-hop charts with 34 top placements. The line-up will be supplemented on Saturday by the German musician Badmómzjay.
With the musical line-ups set for both Friday and Saturday of the AIRDRENALINE weekend, attendees can look forward to two days of high-energy rap and hip-hop acting as the perfect musical accompaniment to the Freeski and Snowboard Big Air World Cup action taking to the skies above the Bergisel.
"We want to address exactly the scene and target groups that characterize the freeski and snowboard worlds," explains Lars-Oliver Vogt, President of Live Nation Brand Partnership & Media GSA. “The combination of snowboarding, freeskiing, music and urban culture fits perfectly with our ambition to create unforgettable and emotional moments. And if there is one place in the world where a Big Air event belongs, it is Innsbruck and thus also the Bergisel.
“The city is considered the pulsating heart of the European snowboarding and freeskiing scene - here the foundation for this culture was laid, and this is where we want to continue history. The Bergisel offers an extraordinary stage for this – internationally known and at the same time deeply connected to Innsbruck.”
Consultant Andrew Hourmont helped invent the discipline "Big Air" in Innsbruck in 1994. Today, together with the organizer, he pursues a clear vision for AIRDRENALINE: "We want to create an event that combines sport, music and community, has an international format, and at the same time is strongly anchored locally. This is also evident in the cooperation with local partners and service providers - from name finding and graphic design to implementation on site, numerous creative minds from the Tyrolean creative and sports scene are involved.”
FIS Park & Pipe Contest Director Roby Moresi was on hand in Innsbruck on Tuesday, 25 August, for the AIRDRENALINE opening press conference, and there expressed his eager anticipation for Big Air’s return to Innsbruck.
"The same high standards apply to AIRDRENALINE as to all FIS World Cup events in the disciplines Park & Pipe - from the safety of the athletes and the quality of the Big Air system to the technical processes,” said Moresi, “The Bergisel offers the best conditions for this with its Big Air tradition and its special scenery. We are looking forward to a strong season start, a top-class field of participants and an event that will inspire athletes, fans and the entire community.”
The combination of Big Air World Cup action, live music and urban community at the AIRDRENALINE Innsbruck Big Air World Cup is set to go down on the 27th and 28th of November 2026, bringing the Innsbruck Park & Pipe experience to a new generation of snowsports fans and music enthusiasts. Conceived as a recurring event format, the AIRDRENALINE is slated to continue for the 2027/2028 World Cup season.
The day tickets are available for Friday from €79 euros and for Saturday from €89. The 2-day ticket is available from €139. In addition, there will be a limited, discounted ticket offer for students, trainees and pupils. As well, a VIP offer is available. Tickets will be available for purchase from from 28 August 2026, at 12:00 noon CET.
And, for those who cannot be in attendance at the competition, a livestream for both days will be available.
