First World Cup win for Evgeniy Belov

Davos Nordic's 15km F men's podium

28-year-old Russian skier Evgeniy Belov took his maiden World Cup win at the 15 km F race at Davos Nordic.

0.9 seconds apart on the finish line, Belov and Maurice Manificat (FRA) ended the fight for the top of the podium. One of the top favourites and second ranked at last weekend's 30km in Beitostølen (NOR), Martin Johnsrud Sundby completed the podium, +4.7 seconds after Belov.

In the first lap I did not feel so great but when my team told me that I could go for the podium, I tried to speed up from the second lap.
