Planica (SLO): First gold ever for Andorra

Gina Del Rio (AND) and Lars Heggen (NOR) is the new gold medal winners, they both succeeded on the very first day of the Junior World Championships in Planica (SLO).

The Andorran girl was unstoppable throughout the whole day, she took the lead already from the qualification, throughout the heats. And did not look back before she took the gold in the final. Samantha Smith (USA) followed on the second place. Milla Grosberghaugen Andreassen, from Norway, completed the podium in third place.

Lars Heggen finished 6th in the men´s qualification, but in the final it was the Norwegian man who was the strongest. Heggen was followed by Anton Grahn, from Sweden in second place. And Jonatan Lindberg, also from Sweden, completed the podium in third place.
