Cross-Country National Team Selections for Norway, Sweden and Germany

Excitement is in the air as the team structures for the 2025/26 ski season are being unveiled. Nations are gearing up for the upcoming winter with the Olympic Games in Milano Cortina as the big highlight in the beginning of February.

Team Sweden

The Swedish Ski Association has unveiled its A-national Cross-Country ski team for the 2025/2026 season, maintaining a consistent structure with eight women and seven men.
The women's team remains the same as the previous season, reflecting their exceptional performance. These athletes collectively secured all six gold medals at the 2025 World Championships in Trondheim, marking a historic achievement for Swedish cross-country skiing. In the Men's team it is two new faces with Marcus Grate and Gustaf Berglund.

Team Germany

The German Ski Association has named 13 athletes to the national Cross-Country ski team for the 2025/2026 season, consisting of 6 women and 7 men. The women’s team captured a strong bronze medal at the 2025 World Championships in Trondheim. And one of the season’s impressive performers was Helen Hoffmann, who consistently delivered strong results and capped off her impressive campaign by winning the green U23 jersey in Lahti.

Team Norway

The Norwegian national team features some fresh faces this season. On the men’s side, Andreas Fjorden Ree, Jan Thomas Jenssen, and Oskar Opstad Vike have earned their places with strong performances in the World Cup. For the women, Nora Sannes impressed with an outstanding season last year, which secured her a spot on the national team.

As for Therese Johaug, the team has reserved a position for her. A final decision on her future is expected in the upcoming weeks as she considers whether to commit to another season.
