Based on the current situation, Ruka Nordic and the Event task force group have given green light for the FIS Cross-Country and Nordic Combined World Cup opener event from 27th to 29th November 2020.

The health prevention plan has been approved by the National health authorities and is available on the FIS website and on rukanordic.com (link to health plan). With this step, a successful first World Cup weekend awaits in the prestigious resort of Ruka, Kuusamo, subject to snow conditions and force majeure events.

The health plan states the requirements on traveling to Finland, conditions on site and general organization around the World Cup competitions. Coordinating a full Nordic weekend under those special circumstances, the local organizing committee of Ruka Nordic, together with the Finnish Ski Association have provided a solid base to ensure a safe surrounding for all involved parties of the first FIS Cross-Country and Nordic Combined World Cups of the season 2020/21.

Information and health plans for each event can be found on the calendar on fisski.com. By choosing the respective event, the yellow drop down menu will take you to the event programme where all health regulations are linked once available.
