The FIS Cross-Country family is looking forward to a season’s highlight with the FIS Tour de Ski performed by Le Gruyère from 28th December 2021 to 4th January 2022. The 16th edition of the prestigious competition row starts off in Lenzerheide (SUI), moves on to Oberstdorf (GER) and closes up traditionally in Val di Fiemme (ITA) with the famous Final Climb to Alpe Cermis.

With six competition days, this season’s Tour de Ski schedule was shortened due to the preparation phase for the upcoming Olympic Winter Games that will take place in February 2022. The event schedule however covers Olympic formats on the second race day (29th December) with a 10km/15km Interval start in Free technique in Lenzerheide as well as the Sprint in Classic technique on the fourth race day (1st January) in Oberstdorf.

With the according schedule, elite athletes are expected to participate at the Tour in preparation for the Games. As the selection process is still going on, teams are about to announce their line-up in the upcoming days.
