There's only one month to go before the FIS Snowboard World Cup gets back underway for the 2019/20 season, with the Cardrona (NZL) big air World Cup slated to get another campaign rolling from August 24-25, 2019.

Taking place as part of the Winter Games NZ programme, the Cardrona big air World Cup is one of the marquee events of the Games, which will feature 26 competitions taking place at six different venues across 17 days of action.

Last season's Cardrona big air World Cup was a truly electrifying competition, with the USA's Chris Corning stunning the field by stomping a quad cork 1800 to claim the men's victory on his 19th birthday, and the then 16-year-old Reira Iwabuchi out-dueling her Japanese teammate Miyabi Onitsuka for the ladies' win in an impressive showdown on the massive Cardrona kicker.

Qualifications in Cardrona are slated for August 24, with finals set to go down the following day.
