Teynor and Seganti shine as Grass Skiing season heats up in Lavarone

The FIS Grass Skiing season continued in Lavarone (ITA) on 25 and 26 July, with two days of slalom racing on the slope of Malga Rivetta. Each day staged a FIS race and a Junior Cup race in both the women’s and men’s fields, rewarding athletes across two classifications.

Competitors made the most of perfectly prepared courses and glorious summer sunshine, which set the stage for fast, closely contested racing throughout the weekend.

Teynor untouchable across both days

Lara Teynor (AUT) was in a class of her own in the women’s competition, winning both FIS races and both Junior Cup races to confirm her standing as the athlete to beat.

A field of 10 women from four nations lined up over the weekend. Aneta Koryntova (CZE) and Tereza Blahová (CZE) shared the remaining podium places, alternating between second and third across the races.

Seganti stars as Buio strikes on day two

The men’s races attracted 19 starters. Nathan Seganti (ITA) won the FIS race on day one, before Daniele Buio (ITA) took victory in the day-two FIS race.

In the Junior Cup, Seganti was the standout performer, winning on both days. On day one he finished ahead of Bryan Agostini (ITA) - also runner-up in the FIS race - in second and Valentin Lemp Pfannenstill (AUT) in third, while day two saw Lemp Pfannenstill move up to second ahead of Sebastian Alfred Juhos (CZE) in third.

The FIS and Junior Cup circuit now moves on to Tambre (ITA), where the next stop is scheduled for 28 to 30 August.
