The FIS Sustainability Awards celebrate the organizers and associations making the greatest difference. More than symbolic, these awards provide funding and momentum to turn ambition into action.

Nature & Biodiversity Award

The 2024/2025 Sustainability Award went to the Otepää Local Organizing Committee, which used the prize money to fund nature and ecosystem classes in local schools, turning a competition venue into a hub for environmental education.

FIS Climate Awards (New)

Building on last year’s momentum, FIS launched two Climate Awards for 2025/2026 to spotlight real leadership in sustainability.

The FIS Climate Award celebrates National Ski Associations and Local Organizing Committees using the FIS CO₂ Calculator to track emissions and drive measurable reductions.
The FIS Athletes Climate Action Award honors athletes addressing climate issues within and beyond their sporting careers.
