While it’s only been a month and a half since we closed the book on the 2025/26 season at the FIS Park & Pipe World Cup Finals in Silvaplana (SUI), already we’re looking ahead to next winter, with the release this week of the proposed 2026/27 World Cup calendar.

While the calendar still needs to be approved at the upcoming FIS Congress next month in Belgrade (SRB), with full commitments from all proposed Local Organisers, a couple of exciting new venues mixed in with a long list of experienced hosts, and with the Montafon 2027 FIS Snowboard, Freestyle, and Freeski World Championships hitting Austria in March, there’s a whole lot to be excited about for the 2026/27 Park & Pipe season.

Next winter’s World Cup campaign will kick off in Austria with what is anticipated to be a massive one, as we bring Big Air action back to a European metropolitan centre for the first time in two years with the Innsbruck World Cup. Long the host city for the groundbreaking Air + Style contest, Innsbruck knows how to party, and we expect the good times to be on display in a big way from 26-28 November, 2026.

After that it’s across Europe and Asia all the way to the Pacific coast of China, where from 03-05 December we'll once again take to the world’s first, best, and only permanent Big Air structure for the Beijing Big Air World Cup. Host venue for the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games, the Shougang Industrial Park venue remains one of the most spectacular in all of snow sports and, with next season’s event being their seventh World Cup, is far-and-away the longest running Big Air venue in World Cup history.

After Beijing it’s our only competition overlap week of the 2026/27 season, where we’ll have the Halfpipe squad on hand for their season-opener at China’s Secret Garden from 09-12 December, while the Big Air squad will move on to second new World Cup venue of the season - Colorado’s legendary Breckenridge Resort.

Like Beijing, Secret Garden is one of the longest-serving hosts on the Park & Pipe World Cup and a 2022 Olympic Winter Games venue. Most would agree that the Secret Garden pipe is second to only Laax (SUI) in quality, and we’ve seen some truly iconic moments go down in it’s massiveness in its decade as an elite-level venue.

At the same time, over in Colorado, Breckenridge will host Park & Pipe World Cup action for the first time in 32 years and for only the second time in its storied history. However, while it was the Halfpipe World Cup taking to Breck back in 1995, this time around it’ll be Slopestyle coming to the base of the Tenmile Range, as we open the Slope season in style from 10-13 December as part of the U.S. Grand Prix.

From Breckenridge the second U.S. Grand Prix stop of the season is just a quick hop up and over Peak 6 to Copper Mountain, where from 17-20 December the most consistent venue on the World Cup tour over the past 15 years is back in the mix for another round of Halfpipe action. “The Athlete’s Mountain” has been delivering memorable Park & Pipe moments since the 2012/13 season, and the final World Cup competition of the year 2026 promises to be no exception.

Following Copper the skiers and snowboarders of the FIS Park & Pipe World Cup will take a well-deserved holiday break before we get back at it in the New Year, where we’ll kick off 2027 with a European tour that begins at the Big Air Kreischberg (AUT) from 07-09 January. The 2025 World Championships venue and a World Cup host 11 previous times dating back to the 1996/97 season, Kreischberg’s legacy is a long one full of exceptional stories.

After Kreischberg it’s on to Switzerland for the legendary Laax Open, where the second Slopestyle World Cups of the season will go down for both Freeskiers and Snowboarders, before Snowboard Halfpipe competition once again closes the World Cup’s most exciting week out with Saturday night finals. This will be the the 11th Laax Open FIS Park & Pipe World Cup, and it’s all going down from 13-16 January, 2027.

The merry Euro tour then rolls on to Tignes for the Mountain Shaker, which for the 2026/27 will NOT feature slopestyle, but which WILL showcase both Freeski and Snowboard for Big Air action from 20-22 January. One of the prettiest mountain landscapes on Earth and a stalwart of Freestyle competition since 1980, Tignes as legendary as legendary gets when it comes to World Cup venues. These will be the final Big Air World Cups of the season, and we’ll be handing out the first Crystal Globes of the winter there to the top riders.

Then it’s into February and back across the Atlantic for a quick North American swing that begins in Calgary at the Snow Rodeo for halfpipe competition at WinSport Canada Olympic Park from 17-20. Site of the very first FIS Snowboard Slopestyle World Cup back in 2010, host of FIS Snowboard Halfpipe World Cups since 1994/95 and FIS Freeski Halfpipe World Cups since 2013/14, Calgary goes waaaay back. And by the looks of it, with the FIS Park & Pipe World Cup running straight into X Games League next winter, Calgary is going to keep pushing it forward, too.

After that it’s back down to Colorado for a big week at Aspen from 24-27 February. FIS Park & Pipe’s hugely successful return to Aspen began at the Covid-effected 2021 World Championships, when Buttermilk took on hosting duties for the Park & Pipe World Champs at the 11th hour and gave the athletes incredible facilities and a top-tier set of competitions despite the extremely difficult circumstances. We’ve been back in Aspen for World Cups a twice since those World Champs, and the standout crews there at Buttermilk and Snowmass continue to deliver, time after time. Once again this season it will be Halfpipe and Slopestyle taking to the Buttermilk slopes for the final stage of the U.S. Grand Prix.

Speaking of World Champs, after Aspen and a little break it’s on to Austria for the Montafon 2027 FIS Snowboard, Freestyle, and Freeski World Championships, with a huge slate of competitions going down from 06-21 March.

While Montafon has been showcase stop on the Snowboard Cross and Ski Cross World Cup tours since the 2012/13 season, the upcoming World Championships will be the Vorarlberg resorts first opportunity to showcase itself an elite-level Park & Pipe destination. The stakes are high at what will be the premier event of the 2026/27 season, but all the pieces are in place for this one to be epic.

Finally, we’ll be capping the season off once again at Silvaplana, with the final Halfpipe and Slopestyle World Cup competitions of the season for both Freeski and Snowboard taking to the stunning slopes of Corvatsch 3303. While we battled with the weather there at Corvatsch this past season, the resort has also shown us some of the most epic end-of-season conditions available anywhere on the planet. With one of the world’s finest jump lines providing the Slopestyle playground, and with the world’s newest superpipe acting as the canvas for the halfpipe artists, Silvaplana is set to deliver an epic ender once again next season when we hand out the final Crystal Globes of the winter.

Mark your calendars and get ready, because the 2026/27 FIS Park & Pipe season is shaping up to be sensational.
