Park & Pipe World Cup 2026/27: 100 Days To Go
Aug 18, 2026·Snowboard Park & PipeTuesday,18 August, marks the 100-days-to-go countdown before the first competition action of the 2026/27 FIS Park & Pipe season takes to the skies above Innsbruck (AUT), for what is promising to be an explosive start to a huge season of Big Air, Slopestyle, and Halfpipe action.
The November 26th date of Freeski and Snowboard qualifications at the Innsbruck Big Air World Cup (full details of which will be revealed at a press conference later this month) will kick off a FIS Park & Pipe season that is set to see some 27 World Cup competitions going down across Snowboard and Freeski Big Air, Slopestyle and Halfpipe events.
Eleven venues in six countries across three continents will step up to host World Cup competition in 2026/27, with a couple notable newcomer venues mixed in amongst the collection of strong veteran hosts.
First amongst the new venues is Innsbruck, although Austria’s epicentre of freestyle culture has a competition-hosting history that goes back decades. Once the site of the legendary Air & Style events through the 1990s and up until 2013, Innsbruck has brought the energy for some of the biggest Big Air competitions the world has ever seen. We cannot wait for the first ever World Cup competitions there this season.
From Innsbruck it’s on to our annual December swing into China, first at the Beijing Big Air from 03-06 December, immediately followed by Halfpipe action at Secret Garden from 09-12 December. Both long-running venues that hosted some historic Olympic action at the Beijing 2022 Games, Beijing and Secret Garden always provide the perfect platforms for exceptional competitions.
While Halfpipe is happening in Secret Garden, the first Slopestyle World Cup of the season will be going down from 10-13 December at the other new venue to join the World Cup in 2026/27, as Breckenridge (USA) enters the mix. Though Breck has hosted one previous Park & Pipe World Cup Halfpipe competition, way back in the 1994/95 season, it will be a whole new ball game as the Slopestyle squad gets their season underway at the U.S. Grand Prix this winter.
Following Breckenridge it’s a quick hop over the Tenmile Range to Copper Mountain, where we return for the 12th Halfpipe World Cup to hit the resort in the past 14 seasons. Copper simply continues to deliver, season after season, and we’re looking forward to heading into the holiday break on another Rocky Mountain high after the second stage of the U.S. Grand Prix.
In the New Year we’ll be getting back to action in Austria, where Kreischberg returns to the circuit for its semiannual week of Big Air action. A regular World Cup host dating all the way back to the 1996/97 season, as well as the 2015 World Championships venue, Kreischberg’s freestyle credentials are as strong as they come.
We’ll stay on in Europe for two more stops. From 14-16 January we’ll be in Switzerland for the 2027 Laax Open first of those, where once again Freeski and Snowboard Slopestyle, and Snowboard Halfpipe World Cups are all set to go down. There’s not much to say about the Laax Open that hasn’t been said before; if you know, you know, and if you don’t know, it’s time to find out.

We then move on to Tignes (FRA) for the Mountain Shaker from 20-22 January, which this season will feature both Freeski and Snowboard for the final Big Air World Cup comps of the season. Tignes is tops in the French Alps when it comes to putting on an elite World Cup competition, and the atmosphere there is unmatched every season. With the Big Air Crystal Globes to be handed out and both Freeski and Snowboard on the docket, expect this one to rock.
After Tignes it will be a couple weeks break to catch our collective breath before a return to North American for the third halfpipe World Cup of the season at the Calgary Snow Rodeo in Canada. Taking place from 16-18 February, the 2026/27 edition will mark 22 years since 1994/95, the season that Calgary first hosted Halfpipe World Cup competition.
From Calgary it’s on to the third and final stop of the 2026/27 U.S. Grand Prix, with the world-class facilities of Aspen Buttermilk once again providing the venue for Slopestyle and Halfpipe World Cup action. This will be Aspen’s third time hosting the World Cup since stepping in as a last-minute replacement for Park & Pipe World Championships and World Cup competitions in 2021.

The Park & Pipe World Cup then goes on a month-long hiatus and all attention turns back to Austria once again, as the Montafon 2027 FIS Snowboard, Freestyle, and Freeski World Championships will descend upon the Vararlberg region from 06-21 March. You can find a primer for the biggest snowsports event of the season HERE.
Finally, the 2026/27 FIS Park & Pipe World Cup wraps up at the traditional season finale venue in Silvaplana (SUI), where the Slopestyle and Halfpipe campaigns will come to a close on Corvatsch once again. An athlete-favourite, fan-favourite, and everyone-favourite event, we’ll be looking to cap things off in style in the Engadin region from April 01-04, 2027.
