From 7 to 10 September 2023, the world's best grass skiers will compete for victory in the overall World Cup on the green slopes of Marbachegg. The two-time World Champion in grass skiing, Mirko Hüppi, is currently in 3rd place in the overall World Cup; the chances of the 34-year-old Gommiswalden to win the overall World Cup are therefore intact.

The program includes a slalom, a giant slalom and a super-G. After the races, a flower ceremony will take place in the finish area as well as the award ceremony and the start number draw for the next WC race in the Marbachegg mountain inn.

The current leader in the overall World Cup is the Italian Daniele Buio in the men's race and the Czech Eliska Rejchrtova in the women's race. The best Swiss is Mirko Hüppi from the Linth Grass Ski Club. The two-time World Champion from Gommiswald is currently 45 points behind the current leader in 3rd place in the overall standings. There is currently no Swiss athlete in the women's World Cup, ditto for the juniors.

The grass skiing World Cup final is organised by the Escholzmatt-Marbach Grass Ski Club. The World Cup final will be broadcast live.
