Heavy snow overnight and through the morning at the Livigno Snow Park forced the postponement of women’s Milano Cortina 2026 Snowboard Slopestyle finals on Tuesday. With upwards of 20cms landing on the pistes of Mottolino Fun Mountain overnight, snow continuing though the morning and into the afternoon, organisers and officials were forced to postpone the scheduled competition.

However, the women’s Slopestyle final is not lost, and has instead been rescheduled for Wednesday afternoon beginning at 14:30 CET, following the men’s competition.

While already scheduled to take place on Wednesday, the men’s competition has been moved forward by an hour and 10 minutes to help accommodate the women’s event, with the men now dropping in at 11:20 CET.

Women’s top qualifier and reigning Olympic Slopestyle champion Zoi Sadowski-Synnott of New Zealand heads into tomorrow’s finals as a favourite to repeat her Beijing 202 gold medal-winning performance.

One of the most powerful and talented snowboarders on earth, Sadowski-Synnott will look to hold off challenges from a strong Japanese team that boasts Milano Cortina 2022 Big Air gold medallist Kokomo Murase, Engadin 2025 slopestyle bronze medallist Reira Iwabuchi, and four-time World Cup winner Mari Fukada, as well as Austrian legend Anna Gasser, who has suggested that the women’s Slopestyle final here in Italy will be the final competition of her storied career.

For the men, meanwhile, Canada’s Mark McMorris may be the biggest story of the day, as the three-time Olympic bronze medallist seeks to seize the one trophy that has eluded him throughout his 16+ years of top-level competition. No one has won more than McMorris in the modern era of snowboarding, and a Milano Cortina gold medal would be the cherry on top of a unparalleled snowboard career sundae.

With a promising weather forecast in the cards for Wednesday and deeply talented fields on both the women’s and men’s sides set to compete for Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic gold, hopes are high for fair, safe, and entertaining Olympic Snowboarding Slopestyle finals on Wednesday.
