The 2025/26 FIS Park & Pipe northern hemisphere season began in spectacular fashion this past weekend in Antwerp (BEL), just one day after the FIS Technical Meetings concluded - and where the FIS Snowboard, Freestyle and Freeski Committee confirmed the new name change from Rail to Street Style.

True to its name, the Antwerp setup brought pure urban flavor: a down rail, a down-flat-down, and a waterfall rail, each stretching 14 meters across a red-carpeted staircase.

Unlike traditional Slopestyle rail sections, Street Style courses aim to replicate authentic urban features, offering a heavy but highly watchable challenge for the riders on hand.

Hundreds of enthusiastic fans packed the venue, while many more followed the live stream, cheering as riders pushed progression round after round. Difficult tricks were matched, and then topped by even harder ones, creating an electric atmosphere that kept the crowd screaming for more.

Finals were contested in a Head-to-Head format, which riders praised for its fun, competitive energy. Young talents made their mark by defeating established names, showing that the future of Street Style is already in strong hands.

·        Snowboard Women: 1 - Katja Dutu (NED), 2 - Anne-Sophie Lechon (BEL), 3 - Paula Benito Porcel (ESP)

·        Snowboard Men: 1 - Thom Wijnstra (NED), 2 - Bart Poll (NED), 3 - Yoris van der Steeg (NED)

·        Freeski Women: 1 - Ellen Damsgard (DEN), 2 - Ella Hall (GBR), 3 - Hannah Marie Langes (AUT)

·        Freeski Men: 1 - Deja Parker (GBR), 2 - Djustin Folgers (NED), 3 - Lenn Schepmans (BEL)

Athletes from nine nations took part in this first Europa Cup Street Style of the season, demonstrating the event’s fast-growing international appeal.

With upcoming stops in Innsbruck, Riga, The Hague, Budapest (tbd), Vitosha, Davos, Szczyrk, and Kitzsteinhorn, the Europa Cup will showcase Street Style’s diversity and crown the season’s champions.

Street Style is already proving itself as FIS’s fastest-growing event, offering organizers a compact, accessible format while opening the door for new nations and new talent. By focusing on urban settings, reusing waste snow or ice, and promoting efficient setups, Street Style not only strengthens the Olympic pathway but also highlights sustainability innovation in winter sports.

The 2025/26 season is just getting started — and Street Style is here to stay.
